About Us
In the summer of 2020, together we spent 2 weeks in the south of France. It sparked in us ideas about having our own vacation house somewhere in France.
We mulled over the idea and the more we thought about it, the more we started to question if we wanted more than just a vacation spot. It didn’t take long to realize that we could move to France instead of just going for vacation.
France has so many things to offer. With the EU agreements, it was possible for us to live in France without visas or limits with so many options for housing, big country houses, old farms, chateau and castles. Good food, wine, fresh air and affordable properties. Once we decided to investigate moving permanently, then our dream started to take shape.
Our dream became a plan. House hunting, planning for sustainability, crunching numbers to ensure feasibility for 2 families to have enough income in the future.
The search for housing helped us to narrow down our priorities. Our location was chosen for its proximity to amenities, like schools and healthcare. We also looked at climate, growing season and distance from The Netherlands. Our search area was approximately 400 km2!
In the summer of 2023, we found ourselves in France again on vacation, with the goal of viewing some properties. We viewed a few but found ourselves a property that had lots of potential and “good bones” We had a great canvas to work on.
Fast forward to 2025, we have completed phase one of our project, with 2 more phases to go. We are on track to open for guests during the 2027 season.

Sharing our love of outdoor living
I read somewhere that not everyone is an outdoors person, but no one is an indoors person. Our vision is finding the balance therein. Enjoying what nature gives us and experiencing the fresh air of the French countryside. We look forward to the rich harvest from our large, diverse garden throughout the growing season. We take advantage of the diverse activities offered in our area.
Better Together
We chose 4 Amis, translated from English “Four friends” at the very beginning of our adventure. We believed that together this whole journey would be better shared with eachother. We haven’t been wrong. This adventure has brought us closer together as friends and we are determined to share this beautiful life before us.
